« We don’t don’t exist in the universe, it resides inside of us. » Artist Jacob Goldsmith in his studio with a Chapeau d’Artist.”
Jacob Goldsmith is an award-winning, interdisciplinary American artist whose work defies categorization—and that is precisely the point.
Born in Burkina Faso and educated in Côte
d’Ivoire, where he graduated at the top of his class in Industrial Design, Goldsmith brings
to every canvas an intellectual caliber shaped by three continents, multiple disciplines, and an
unrelenting commitment to originality.
Goldsmith also documented the highest levels of American power—capturing photographs at The White House, The U.S. Senate, and The U.S. Congress. That same precision of eye—the ability to find the decisive moment, the essential composition—now drives his painting practice, where each work is constructed with the rigor and passion of an engineer and the soul of a poet.
His work has entered the permanent collection of the National Archives Museum in
Washington, D.C.—a testament to work that does not merely decorate a room, but becomes part of the historical record. Jacob Goldsmith will participate in his first Art Salon at the Musée du Louvre in the spring of 2026
